  • 3 cloves of garlic, grated or finely minced

  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef, I recommend hormone + antibiotic free beef from ButcherBox

  • 28- ounce can San Marzano Tomatoes, pureed in your blender or in the can with your immersion blender
  • 1 cup bone broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • ½ cup finely chopped parsley
  • 3 bay leaves
  • ½ cup cashew cream, (homemade recommended, or substitute Nutpods Original Flavor)

Instructions

  1. Set your Instant Pot to SAUTE mode. Add the olive oil, chopped onion, carrot, celery, grated garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano. Sauté the vegetables until they are soft and fragrant, which should take approximately 5-10 minutes.
  2. Next, add in the chopped bacon, ground beef, and ground pork to the pot. Use a wooden spoon to break up the meat as it cooks. Continue to sauté until the meat is no longer pink and is fully browned, about another 5-10 minutes.
  3. Pour in the bone broth, pureed San Marzano tomatoes, and tomato paste. Stir in the finely chopped parsley and add the bay leaves. Mix all the ingredients well to combine them thoroughly.
  4. Press the CANCEL button on your Instant Pot. Secure the lid, ensuring the valve is set to the sealing position.
